This fresco discovered in Pompeii represents two magnificent Roman warships armed with rams at the bow. A rare work that gives us an idea of the colours and the presence of these ships from which remains exist only in very damaged vestiges, mainly wooden wedges of grey wood. The belief was that the large eyes painted at the front protected the sailors and served to keep away evil and comically is not without reminding us of Disney movie car. The ships are moored in an arsenal and the ignorance of the prospect at this time, makes the one on the left truncated by the colonnade, the back of the ship is not there.
